Meet the Doctors
Dr. Rishi Arora earned his MD degree from Delhi University, India in 1991. Following residencies at the University of the Medical Sciences, Delhi, India, and New York Presbyterian Hospital—Weill Cornell Medical Center, he completed fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease at the Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2000 and in Cardiology and Electrophysiology at Indiana University Medical Center in 2002. Dr. Arora is board certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiovascular Disease. He is an Associate Professor specializing in Cardiac Electrophysiology and is the Director of Experimental Electrophysiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Rod Passman earned his MD degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine with a distinction in research in 1989. Following residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, he completed fellowships in Molecular Genetics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1994, in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania in 1998 receiving his Master’s degree in epidemiology and biostatistics. In 1998, he joined the Northwestern Faculty as Associate Professor of Medicine and Preventive Medicine, was promoted to full Professor in May 2011, and is the Associate Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology and the Medical Director of the Bluhm Cardiovascular Center for Atrial Fibrillation of Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He has been instrumental in funding and research for AF and has authored more than 60 manuscripts to date.
